Madeline is available for book club meetings in the Madison, Wisconsin, area. She also does presentations including: “International Education,” “Traveling Solo: A Woman’s Guide,” “Education in Japan,” “Peace Corps in Your Senior Years,” “Saturdays Were for Funerals: HIV-AIDS in Southern Africa,” and speaks on other international travel and education topics.

How to Make a Life, by Madeline Uraneck

Author Madeline Uraneck will talk about her book, How to Make a Life: A Tibetan American Refugee Family & The Midwestern Woman They Adopted. The main character who inspired the book, Ms. Tenzin Kalsang, who worked as maintenance staff for many years in this very building, will be present with other members of her family, to participate in discussion.

The program will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Grand Hall.
